UCM Systems

UCM (Unintended Car Movement) systems are one of our key offerings, designed to protect elevators against unexpected and unwanted movements that can pose a risk to users.

A UCM (Unintended Car Movement) system is a protection that prevents involuntary movement of the elevator while the doors are open. This type of situation can occur in case of a failure in the elevator's control components. UCM systems detect these unwanted movements and safely stop the elevator, protecting its occupants.

These UCM systems detect and stop the elevator when an uncontrolled movement of the cabin occurs in compliance with article 5.6.7 EN81-20. UCM systems are a safety component according to Annex III of the Elevator Directive 2014/33/EU.
